2009 Hike for Hospice

We raised over $35,000! - 75% over our original goal of $20,000, and 57% over last year!

Hospice Toronto and the staff raised the most money out of all the five partner hospices. As well, Brian Glasspoole, Judi Richter-Jacobs and Elsie Ling were the top 3 individual fundraisers, with Brian being the top number three individual fundraiser across Canada!

Thank you to everyone for asking their friends, families and colleagues to help support the Hike to make sure that home hospice palliative care is available to everybody in our community at no cost. Many thanks as well to everyone who generously donated to the Hike. Also, thanks to the volunteers who came out to help us put on a great event. Our most successful, best-ever Hike would not have been possible without all of your help and support.

As well, many thanks to our corporate supporters for their generous support, and to Judy Croon for hosting the event, and Blair Packham and the Manitou Kwe Singers for their musical performances.

For those of you who are still interested in supporting us, but couldn’t get around to it before the Hike, there's still time to do so. The online donation website will be running to May 31st. To donate online, please click here. Again, donating is easy and it will only take you a few minutes. You will also receive a charitable tax receipt for all donations of $20 or more.
