Tree of Lights
Our annual Tree of Lights campaign raised over $15,000! Thank you to everyone who kindly donated to the campaign. Your generosity is greatly appreciated in helping to ensure that Hospice Toronto continues to provide in-home, hospice care and support in the community.
In marking Hospice Toronto's 20th Anniversary of adding life to days last year, we did something special with the campaign – your donation also helped kids and families where someone is sick receive a special gift of Huggums bears. We would like to especially thank Ismay Chima Earl and her brother, Eamon for helping us with our Tree of Lights campaign.
Many thanks again for everyone’s kind support with our Tree of Lights campaign.
The Story of Huggums the Hospice Toronto Bear
By Ismay Chima Earl · September 13, 2007
I named the bear Huggums because when I am sad I hug my bear and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Hospice Toronto helps people that are sick and their families. I hope Huggums can help these people too.
Hospice Toronto helped me, my brother and my mom a lot when my dad was sick. Everyone that I have met from Hospice Toronto has been very happy and they have made me feel happy too.
Huggums likes to do the “happy dance” and when he hears of somebody in need he becomes “Super Huggums” and soars to their rescue.
Huggums is the happiest bear on earth and he likes to share his happiness with other people and make them feel loved.
